What better timing to acknowledge my father than so close to a day dedicated to him?
You could definitely say that I am a Daddy’s girl. Ever since I was little, I have been glued to my dad’s side wanting to do everything he was doing.
My mechanic, therapist, coach, comedian and best friend. He wears many hats and excels at all roles. I have never met someone as versatile as my Dad. He works hard at his job, he works hard at keeping the house in line and he works hard to be the best Dad he could be.
I have grown up going to work with my Dad in his oil truck, always willing to learn anything new he could teach me while the long drives between stops gave me the opportunity to talk his ear off. I think we can all agree I get a little carried away when it comes to talking, but he always took it all in and engaged in conversations with me. He never got angry that I had so much to say.

Waiting on the fence post in our old house for my dad to come home and running to the end of the driveway when he got home to ride on his lap in the truck up the driveway
I can only imagine how hard it is for a Dad to see his little girl grow up, especially when I am the youngest of my siblings and I didn’t make it easy on my parents. Although I was a handful, he survived and did an amazing job in the process. For now and forever, I will be a Daddy’s girl without a doubt.
Until next time,
