Sister Bear

Well, it’s official. This week marked the first full week of my sister finally being back in the country, and I could not be happier.

Quite a few of you already know, but my sister was working for the cruise ship Carnival Ecstasy since last fall. What a dream come true right? My sister is like that though. She gets an idea in her head that she wants to accomplish, and then there is no stopping her. She is brave and courageous and does what she wants, when she wants.

Growing up, I didn’t feel this fondly about my sister, as you can imagine if you have a sister. We argued, tattled on each other and sometimes got violent. It was not pretty when the claws came out around our house. But, I have to admit it probably wasn’t because we hate each other, it was because we loved each other and were way too similar for our own liking. Especially when stealing each others clothes came into the mix.

It was when my sister moved to Toronto to attend George Brown College that I first realized “shit, I miss her”. Ever since then, our relationship has really changed for the better. Don’t get me wrong, arguments still ensue as most sisters will for their whole lives, but they are now few and far in between.

Check out more info on why my sissy makes the list:

Relationship:
Sister

Job:
Carnival Ecstasy Guest Services

Favourite Activity to do Together:
Shopping or drinking on a patio

Best Memory:
Going to Toronto just her and I for my prom dress in grade twelve. That day, she decided to also get a tattoo that took 4 hours to complete. Ay caramba!

I can’t imagine my life without my sister, even if I did suffer from some minor injuries and tattling growing up. I have always looked up to Marissa, whether it be for fashion, advice, a shoulder to cry on or someone to hang out with. I really am lucky to say that my sister and I have grown really close to each other, and I don’t think that will ever change.

Until next time,

Tiffany Nobes
